WINZ 5.5 Released 14 December 2009

WINZ 5.5 is an upgrade that now allows users to demonstrate compliance against the Drinking-Water Standards for New Zealand 2005 (Revised 2008.)

As usual, the CD-ROMs and instructions were sent to district health boards, from where DWAs will distribute packs to local authorities.

While users can continue to use the 2000 Standards instead of the latest ones, note that all 2005 calculations will now use the 2008 revision.

A number of other changes and bug fixes are incorporated in this release.

Because this release is not connected with an Annual Survey, there is no compulsory need to update your supply details before this release can be used. As always however, you should request by email a supply update at least annually from the National WINZ staff to ensure your dataset is current.

Update 22 December 2009:   if you get a supply update, or download a National Transfer file from the Downloads page, you will get an updated determinand list with MAVs as in the 2008 revision of the drinking-water standards.
